Man Caves and She-Sheds

Man Caves and She Sheds

Over the years we have had more and more of our customers purchasing log cabins for using as a Man Cave, a fortress of solitude for masculine hobbies or workshops or even just a place of peace away from day-to-day life. We have seen our log cabins fitted out with sofas, pool tables, televisions, pinball machines and all sorts of other gadgets and big-boy toys. More often than not we find that the partner/family of the intended recipient of the log cabin is more grateful to get the often space consuming
activities out of the house! You have probably heard the saying about "boys and their toys..." and how "boys never grow up, they just get bigger toys". Well with the extra space being available with a log cabin you can claim that space in the house back.
In the hustle of everyday life it is important to set some time aside for ourselves and it is essential to do so in a peaceful and quiet environment. That’s why the popularity of She Sheds are ever increasing. In an attempt to find some calm in their chaotic worlds, women all over are transforming our log cabins into blissful retreats. Across the country, ladies are carving out a special place for themselves, one free from all stress and concern. And they're doing it in their own back gardens!

To see our full range of log cabins please head over to our website which is and find that extra space just for you. Whether that be a toys and gadgets haven or a peaceful and serene retreat.

Adding Partition Walls

Adding Partition Walls

A partition wall on the inside of our cabins is becoming an ever more popular addition to our range.
The adding of a partition wall opens up a variety of options that were not originally available for the cabin. An example of this is the ability to have several rooms in one cabin, separating a tool shed from a relaxing summer house.

The image on the right is an example of a partition wall we had in our corner unit at our show site. We have left a gap at the top for display purposes whilst customers cabins partitions generally run to the top. Partition walls are generally quite easy to install with a pair of runners at each end and the separating wall slotted in between.

When we supply a partition wall it comes bundled with a single door as well. This is an external entrance as to keep it as separate rooms.
We can also supply partition walls with internal walls if that is desired.

From the information we have gathered we have come to the conclusion that partition walls are becoming a popular addition to cabins. The extra wall effectively turns the cabin into a multiple room summer house.

The Many Uses For A Log Cabin

The Many Uses for a Log Cabin

When people think of the uses of Log Cabins one of the first answers that springs to mind is "what can you actually do with it?" A lot of our customers intend to have their cabins as summer houses or garden retreats. There are also those that use their cabins in the same way as we use the large black cabin in the picture on the right, as a home office.
There are even those customers who intend to use their cabin as an eye pleasing home storage unit.

Summer Houses

The majority of people who purchase Log Cabins do so with the intent of using them as summer houses or garden getaways. The good thing with our range is that not only are they durable and well built but they are also very pleasing to the eye. The picture on the left, sent in from one of our customers, is an example of a very comfortable and welcoming garden retreat ideal for relaxing.
With a good colour scheme and some matching furniture a cabin can become an ideal garden retreat.

Home Office

Our range of cabins are ideal for home offices as wooden buildings have been shown in research to produce a calming effect and helps with concentration, which if you are familiar with office work is essential. Along with these points it is generally just a pleasant feeling to be able to work from home in a dedicated space, blocking out all other distractions whilst hard at work in your cabin.

Storage Unit

Another use for our cabins is as a storage unit. They have a nice open space on the inside and still look quite nice on the outside. Many of our customers that purchase cabins for storage are those that do not wish to pay a third party for storage rates as they do tend to mount up over time. The example on the left is one that has also been used as a small garage.

So as I have hopefully shown here there are several varied uses for our range of cabins, ranging from relaxing in your garden to working in a calm and peaceful environment to using the space for storing those objects that cannot be parted with.
